Big news, big changes
I've been working my consulting gig since the Big Globe swallowed us and spit us out, but we can't live balancing on that tenuous tightrope. So, back to the corporate world I go.
The big news tonight is that I accepted a new job as VP of Marketing for our local cultural gem starting in early Sept. I predict the quantity of blog posting here will drop precipitously.
Whoa! We interrupt this news update to say that those Jamaican relay runners are very FIT! Those green shorts make it all very clear.
Whew.
Oh yeah, so work, it's gonna begin again. Good times.

Congrats! I wish I had similar news. I'm envious!
But it was one of my favorite clients at KTVZ. I know you will do better than some of the previous marketing people there...

Great news -- not that anyone was worried, but this should be a lot of fun and certainly different from the last one...

Congratulations Melissa! What will you and the kiddo do to celebrate?

Great question: I plan to celebrate by doing NOTHING for a few days - no job hunting, no consulting work, no major earth-moving, just go to the pool and read a novel. Henry gets to celebrate by getting ready for school!
No, you're right, we should do something fun - maybe we'll go out to a fancy "adult" dinner (no Red Robin!).

Hang in there, KG! It feels like time for things to happen...

Congrats!! I'm so glad for you, but I have to confess, partly for selfish reasons that that now means you'll be staying put here in CO!! But seriously, I'm so glad for you! Must be a load off your mind, but I have to say that I've been pretty impressed with your apparent ease with the whole job transition thing!
Bravo Melissa!!!!! On to new adventures!

So, I guess, congratulations, way to go! and a little sympathy, too. :) Glad that you and the boy won't have to go live in a van down by the river.

Congrats!! I worked last year (for a college class project) for a woman that had a similar job there and moved to another NPO in the region. We are big lovers of the Museum around here!!
Oh, I now remember that I didn't make it to the knitting group this past week... I'm trying!! I swear....

Wow - congrats!! - I worked there for 10 years! In the Don Kerr years - it was the best of times. An incredible staff of really mission dedicated individuals. I stay in touch with everyone from the old days. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did - we have to talk!!

Definitely! I think you'd love the new prez - she's all about getting back to Don's vision. Can't wait to talk!
